Sights, Sounds and flavors of the Bayou Cruise
Come experience the unique world of commercial fishermen of the lower Mississippi River Delta in Empire, Louisiana. Before boarding, get a tour of the working oyster dock where the Sea Pearl is berthed along with a sample of the delicious oysters produced in this area. You can have them charbroiled or raw on the half shell, either way, you can't eat just one.
As we get under way, you will see oyster luggers, shrimp trawlers, menhaden boats along with sport fishing boats and oil field work boats. The tour takes us through the locks into the Mississippi River, through which many of the boats pass daily. We also go into the bays and bayous, passing fishermen as they haul up their catch.
While on board the Sea Pearl, satisfy your appetite with fresh, local seafood prepared several ways and relax in the comfortable interior and enjoy the sights outdoors.
